I was out of town all week and didn’t get to shoot what I wanted with the little time there was on the last day.

This week I really like Tomm’s and Jess’ entries. If I had to pick one to come out on top, probably Jess’. There’s something to be said for a classic, simple photo, exceptionally done.

I probably messed up my first message, it didn’t register. I actually love the real-world dirty pic Ally took. Joe’s, Kirsty’s and Jess’ are all interesting variations on the music theme. And Pascale’s COAC is just plain weird.

thanks Jonathan- it is a mini music ‘box’ yeah,the red blob is the little crank you use to play the music- thanks for the tips though I really like Charlotte’s and Annie’s this week

Sorry there’s no entry from me this week. Kind of busy, then I forgot. For shame!

I notice there’s a lot of black & white / sepia this week, and a lot of macro.

I really like the filthy atmosphere in Ally’s picture. It reminds me of a smog scene from Victorian London.

I also like Jess’s abstract shot of a microphone. The post-processing adds a lot of vibe.

Finally I like Kirsty’s machine – is that the innards of a music box? If it was my photo, I think I would have tried to avoid including whatever that red blob is in the background, and I would have set the focal point to be on the drum rather than on the metal strips.
