This week’s Challenge is the theme of film. You can interpret this however you like – cinema, camera film, a film of oil, etc. No doubt you’ll find plenty of other meanings. Good luck, and please get your entries in by noon on Tuesday [...] Thanks to Paul for suggesting this week’s Challenge. In Alice in Wonderland, Alice encounters a cake with “eat me” written on it, which makes her grow larger and a bottle with “drink me” written on it which makes her shrink. This is quite an open theme, so you could take a photo of something larger than life, [...] This week’s Challenge is sport and action. Try to find a local sporting event (of any description) and capture it on your camera. If there’s no sport near you or you otherwise can’t take pictures of it, have a go at an action photo – perhaps a moving animal or vehicle. The key point of this Challenge is [...] This week, your theme is the coin charity challenge, as suggested by Paul. The theme of this challenge is charity, and the budget is a single coin of whatever denomination you prefer. (In the UK, that would give you a budget range of 1p to £2) So, give some money to a charity collector, [...] Thanks to Julia for suggesting this week’s Challenge. The title is bring a friend, and you have to do just that. You and your chosen friend (or relative, contractor, or hostage) should both take a photo for the Photo Challenge. You could even take pictures of each other. I won’t be around to publish the results on Tuesday [...] This week’s Challenge was suggested by Nigel. “Street scene” – just about anything happening out in the street – markets, processions, traffic jams, stupid parking! This should be a good one to get you out and about in the sunny weather. Why not carry your camera with you all week, so you don’t miss anything? Entries in by noon [...] This week’s Challenge is one we’ve had before (about a year ago, under Stu’s watch). But with virtually limitless interpretations, there’s no reason we can’t visit this theme again. The theme is music, as suggested by Dave. This could be someone playing an instrument, a band on stage, a close up of an instrument, a re-creation of [...] This week’s Challenge was inspired by Paul this very morning. The Challenge is entitled Forks, and the brief is simply to take a picture of a fork. Everyone has forks at home, but try to make it as interesting as you can. Forks have an unusual shape, and usually a reflective surface so you could try to take [...] Thanks to Julia for suggesting this week’s Challenge. Disguise: i.e. things that are not as they seem. Could be someone in fancy dress; a mask; something used in a way that is not usual or expected, etc. Could provide some good food for thought! There you have it, and I’m sure there are wider interpretations still – [...] The turnout in last week’s Challenge was low. I’m not sure if that was because the Challenge was too hard/obscure, or if people were just busy. So this week’s Challenge is a dreaded colour theme! Nice and easy, so I’m hoping there will be plenty of entries. Your Challenge is to take a photo on the theme of [...] |
