This week, your challenge is of a technical nature, and was suggested quite a long time ago by Stuart Carter. The concept of depth in photographs is important, as it leads the viewer’s eye from the front to the back of the scene. However, it can be hard to take photographs that capture a sense of depth. Stuart wants us to pay special attention to this.
Avoid ‘flat’ photos by using split focus or 3D lighting or leading lines or whatever tricks you can muster.
There are loads of tutorials online about various 3D techniques using composition, focus and lighting. Knock yourself out and see what you can come up with.
Please send your entries in by noon on Tuesday 24th September.
