Photo Challenge

Where I Live

This week’s Challenge was suggested by Ally.

Participants can take a photo that depicts the city, town or village where they live.

There’s not really much more I can add to that. Try to capture the essence of the place where you live. It doesn’t have to be a famous landmark, but it should express your feelings for the place.

Please send your entries in by noon on Tuesday 9th April. Have fun!

Challenge Admin, I enjoy taking photos mostly of landscapes and architecture - but I will try anything! I mostly shoot film and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom trying to get the perfect print. I'm a sysadmin for a living and I also enjoy cycling and music technology.

  1. It’s either going to be a picture of the kids, or Sainsburys – and I’m trying REALLY hard not to keep submitting photos of my kids!

  2. Pingback: Blogitse » Blog Archive » Helsinki, Finland

  3. Ooh I like this theme. Just need to find the time to get out and take the sot I have in mind!

I like the look of where you like BLOGitse, however to give you the heads-up incase this is your entry for this week you need to take the photo in the week the theme is set :)

  4. Thanks Carole for being the Photo Challenge Vigilante! It’s a great pic, BLOGitse, but unfortunately we can’t accept it for the Photo Challenge because it wasn’t taken during the week of the challenge, as it says in the rules.

I visited Helsinki a couple of years ago and it is a beautiful city – I’m sure you can come up with something else by Tuesday – even if it isn’t a shot from an aeroplane :)

  5. Firstly thanks for choosing my suggestion for the challenge.
I have gone down the landmark route and my pic features The Discovery that Captain Scott sailed to the Antartic and subsequently got stuck in the ice for some time. The ship was built in Dundee and now has pride of place on our waterfront.

  6. Here’s my entry for this week : I’ve recently moved to Marseille, and what strikes me most in this city is all contrasts and paradoxes you can get. So I went for the contrast between busy and crowded city, and the sea. Picture taken on the Catalans beach.

  7. Here is my entry for this weeks challenge. Mother Nature didn’t play ball and give me a lovely clear evening however I now know a good spot to go back when it is nice!

Taken about an hour or so ago under grey skies and a light rain, this sums up perfectly my thoughts on Bracknell (which perhaps even trumps Rugby in the Non-Picturesque Category, Kirsty?)
