Photo Challenge

Inanimate

This week the Challenge was suggested by Paul. The Challenge is to take an inanimate object, and make it appear animated and lifelike somehow.

This could mean drawing a face on something, sticking eyes on it, or arranging it in an expressive way. Paul is far too modest to link to his own photos, but he did take a series of photos in 2008 of objects with eyes, which might give a little bit of inspiration.

Please send your entries in by noon on Tuesday 10th July. Have fun, and be creative!

Challenge Admin, I enjoy taking photos mostly of landscapes and architecture - but I will try anything! I mostly shoot film and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom trying to get the perfect print. I'm a sysadmin for a living and I also enjoy cycling and music technology.

    Heh! If I’d known you were going to set this one, I’d have shot something else for the edges challenge :)

    I promise I’ll do my best not to use googly eyes this week and see if I can come up with another approach instead…

    Hmm.

    I am having trouble deciding on which photo to put in for the challenge – as it depends on how you read the challenge. I have one picture which has a face, or a picture has no face/eyes but along the lines of the making inanimate look animate/moving.

    Great challenge. I went to a park to take pics of my son not expecting to take any for the challenge and sure enough i found plenty of fun takes on the challenge. I ultimately went with the one that seemed most lifelike and not necessarily my favorite shot (the other characters i found more amusing ;-P). I posted several shots here:
