Photo Challenge

Cycles

At the moment, the Tour de France cycling race is on, and it has inspired us to set a Challenge called cycles.

This isn’t necessarily to do with bicycles and cycling, but anything you can associate with the word cycle. This might be a bicycle, spin cycle, recycling or something completely different.

Please send your entries in by noon on Tuesday 24th July. Good luck!

Challenge Admin, I enjoy taking photos mostly of landscapes and architecture - but I will try anything! I mostly shoot film and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom trying to get the perfect print. I'm a sysadmin for a living and I also enjoy cycling and music technology.

    Hello Everyone
    I am Jessica’s husband and have been following the photo challenges since she started participating. I’m very fond of the site and wish to contribute as well. The camera i’m using is an Iphone 4s and i havew little experience taking photos, so please don’t expect anything mesmerizing. My first photo is a little graphic and I hope it’s not looked down upon. Also, just for the recored, I was using food coloring and not taking pictures of my wife’s dirty stuff. Looking forward to hearing feedback as well as viewing the images from the talented photographers who are involved with this inspiring site.

    Hello David. What’s wrong with using a phone for taking pictures? Nothing. I take a lot of pictures with my One X. I dont see any problem in that. The only limit you have is your imagination.

    And a note from me: Last thursday my girlfriend deliverd our son. http://www.wiggersrobert.nl/2012/07/weve-got-a-son-and-he-is-superduper-cute/ This is de reason I havent done any challenges the last few weeks and maybe for the coming weeks also. Im just to busy to get stuff done at home and getting stuff done at the office. Ill be back in the future. I miss doing challenges. Cya :-) Be nice.

    ugh, i had a bunch of different interpretations of this one and it was tough to decide what to use.. i went with pollination (stage in a flower’s life cycle). hope that works ok, but i couldn’t bring myself to use an ordinary old pic of a tricycle, it was too easy lol.
    And Congratulations Robert on your new son! ;) (my little one is 10 months today~)

    Here’s mine. Amsterdam has no shortage of suitable photo ops for this theme, but I opted not to go with the bike on the canal bridge standard.

    David, I don’t have a fancy camera either, I take all my photos with a Sony Cyber Shot and do most of my editing (not corrections) with Picasa (free from Google).
