Photo Challenge

Into the light – Results

Please welcome Melissa who joins us for the first time this week. There were ten punctual entries…

… and one entry from Andrea that was taken last week.

Challenge Admin, I enjoy taking photos mostly of landscapes and architecture - but I will try anything! I mostly shoot film and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom trying to get the perfect print. I'm a sysadmin for a living and I also enjoy cycling and music technology.

  1. I think this is one of the best week we’ve ever had. Just looking at the thumbnails there’s a lot of vibrant colour this week – especially from Paul (Allen), Lee and Capiro.

I also really like the concepts from Paul (Seward) and Colin.

Melissa, you’ve achieved a beautiful panorama – such smooth water! Where was that taken?

For those who are curious, my picture was taken on 35mm film in a large camera, which exposes the sprocket holes as part of the picture. It’s a sunset view over Bristol.

  2. The challenge seems to have gathered a lot of followers of late. Or at least a lot of old participants have returned! Some cracking entries this week, I ran out of time so unfortunately didn’t get to try what I wanted.

  3. I wouldn’t be too regretful, Lee! I really like your entry – how was it lit?

Also to answer your question from last week, if you want a profile picture, sign up with Gravatar using the same email address you use to post comments on here. It will appear automagically! :D

  4. Thanks. Lit it with my speedlight. Shot it in the dark.

Did some editing in photoshop to make the colours pop. :)

  5. Love the rainbow effect in Paul Allen’s
