Fear not! The results of the Red-themed Challenge are here at last. I was a bit busy at work today to publish them at lunch, but it seems to have paid off since most of the entries were late anyway ;)

So with no further ado, let’s find out who among you saw red this week.

Alex Butcher

Andy Young

Jay Linn

Julia Gazeley

Jonathan Gazeley

  • Fantastic entry from Stu this week – very moody-looking.

I also like both of the entries that have black & white elements (that’s Danielle’s and mine!).

Great work from everyone else too!

Pshaw B&W who can do that? *goes to check camera

  • I didn’t actually edit my photo. It’s a genuine fact that everything in Bristol is actually grey, and only the postboxes have any colour at all.

Oh wait, I’m thinking of Coventry…

  • I like Danielles entry, although I can’t help but think the other 84 luftballons are out of shot.

  • Stu

Thanks, Jonathan. One light goodness… a 1.5ft hotshoe softbox held just out of shot above the balls. The other catchlight in the balls comes from the french window. I tried shutting the curtains, but then couldn’t auto-focus.

Great pics, everyone… and good to see a larger turn-out, too!

  • In fact, Stu, I think your photo reminds me of the billiards game in Wii Play. That has a table in a dark room with no other visible objects, and some “shady” sounding music to accompany. It also feels lonely because you never see either your own character or your opponent.

Really good entries this week, but yet another week’s competition that’s flew by where I have again failed to enter! IDIOT!

  • Kathy Crosbie

I have been on nights, but this seems perpetual at the moment (every week in July boo!) but I am still tuning in and hopefully will manage an entry again soon!

  • Danielle

Massive fan of the snooker/billiard/pool (always get mixed up between these..) table :)

Reminds me of the Wii game too!
