Photo Challenge

Outdoor reflectors – results

This Challenge was quite technical compared with previous Challenges, so very well done to everyone who used a reflector to enhance their photos this week. Annoyingly, the Sun disappeared during the week, so I think photos taken with artificial light are acceptable, provided a reflector has been used.

Learning how to use natural daylight for maximum benefit costs nothing and only takes ten seconds of thinking before your press the button, so it’s a valuable skill to possess.

Challenge Admin, I enjoy taking photos mostly of landscapes and architecture - but I will try anything! I mostly shoot film and I spend a lot of time in my darkroom trying to get the perfect print. I'm a sysadmin for a living and I also enjoy cycling and music technology.

  1. I took mine using the bright evening sun. Our “balcony” faces South so we get strong light in the evenings. I used a piece of paper to bounce some of this back onto the dark side of Hannah’s face.
