Well done to everyone who sent in a mystery macro photo for the What is it? challenge, and to those who placed guesses!
You have now had a week to look at the results and place your guesses, so without further ado, here are the zoomed-out versions of the photos. Who managed to escape being guessed?
Andy – you didn’t send in a zoomed-out version of your kalimba so I’ve picked an image from the web. Hope that’s OK!

So the only people whose photos were not guessed correctly are Jonathan and Stu.
Good work people, that was fun!
And just to keep you on your toes, the results of the Old & New Challenge, and this week’s new Challenge are also out today.
Great fun! Thanks!
Look at the pair of you, Nigel and Ed, flashing your cash around. Spare a thought for poor folk like Julia and Paul, who have nothing more than some mould in the garden and a dirty sponge!
I borrowed it from my son!
Well done on that melon pic, Jonathan! I wouldn’t have guessed that in a million years! Still not sure I believe it. Lol!
Yes, I was surprised when I saw the picture myself. I think the lens I used flattened the image so the ridges look like they don’t protrude at all. It does look a lot like marble.
