  • Wow some fantastic entries here!
Paul’s particularly intrigues me, the chilli itself isn’t on fire, is it?
    Well done everyone!

  • @Eddyg – “almost” the flame is actually coming from some kitchen roll pinned to the back of the chilli which I soaked in a little lighter fuel. The front of the chilli is lit with a flashgun from camera right,

I really like the composition in Stu’s. The way the spoon is pointing at the pile of chilli powder fills the frame and makes it all hang together. Special bonus points from me for use of white in a fire themed shot!

  • I missed a line break and a “to all” in there. Serves me right for chopping my comment around without re-reading it afterwards.

Ooh, I’m pleased you picked up on that, Paul… the composition was entirely intentional! I’m still working on the still life stuff this time it was for the cleanest, freshest look I could go for… of course, your still life blows me away every time, and this is no exception!

Great work all… nice to see lots of different interpretations again! There’s something special about a candle in the snow… I think it reminds me of a trip I made to a Finnish cemetary in the dead of winter one time.

Excellent entries from everyone! Was looking forward to seeing different variations!

I don’t know how I dare show my face! Working away again. I’ve taken some for the latest challenge but I’m not too happy with the results. I’m going to have another go tomorrow morning. All these are top-notch, though, and I particularly like Andy’s, Paul’s and Ian’s. Great stuff from everyone.
